1896-S $5 MS62 PCGS. CAC. While a few light bagmarks are seen on the frosted surfaces of this 1896-S half eagle, they are less-prevalent than normal for the issue. Lustrous medium-gold color illuminates a sharp strike and plentiful eye appeal, confirmed by the CAC endorsement. Notably few pieces are known any finer. Population: 27 in 62, 14 finer.
