Description

1875 Seated Half Dollar, MS65
Highly Lustrous, CAC Endorsed

1875 50C WB-101 MS65 PCGS. CAC. With its mintage of more than 6 million pieces, the 1875 and the similarly high-mintage 1875-S are among the most frequently located Seated halves for type purposes, especially in Mint State condition. This is a remarkably lustrous Gem Uncirculated example that is nearly untoned. The strike is sharp but not quite complete in all areas, yet there are no obvious or detracting abrasions. PCGS Population: 18 in 65 (3 in 65+), 5 finer. CAC: 11 in 65, 2 finer (12/25).
Ex: FUN Signature Heritage (1/2012), lot 3591.
