1854-S G$1 MS62 PCGS Secure. The San Francisco Mint opened for coinage operations in 1854 and a small mintage of 14,632 gold dollars was accomplished. The 1854 is always in demand as the only Type One gold dollar from the popular West Coast facility. This attractive MS62 example is sharply struck, lightly marked, and lustrous, with strong eye appeal. Population: 20 in 62 (1 in 62+), 21 finer (9/18).(Registry values: N2998)
