Description

1907 Indian Eagle, MS66
Lovely No Motto Type Coin

1907 $10 No Motto MS66 NGC. After the pattern Wire Rim strikings and the failed Rolled Edge tens of 1907, Saint-Gaudens' design was modified a third time this year and more than a quarter million regular production No Periods tens were struck. The overall quality of these coins is quite high, most likely a combination of both careful production and the fact that quite a few pieces were set aside as novelties. This piece has rich orange-gold color overall and thick, frosted mint luster. Sharply struck, there are no singularly mentionable abrasions on either side. NGC has seen 31 numerically finer representatives (5/16).
