1877-S Liberty Twenty, MS62

1877-S $20 MS62 NGC. The 1877-S is the debut Type Three
double eagle from San Francisco. This is a better-than-average
Uncirculated coin and it resides just a single grade point shy of
being conditionally rare. Rose-gold and yellow-gold hues blend over
each side, illuminating sharp design elements and light, scattered
abrasions. NGC has seen nine numerically finer submissions
