Description
Lustrous 1913-S Select Twenty Dollar
1913-S $20 MS63 PCGS. The 1913-S double eagle comes with a rather paltry mintage of 34,000 pieces. Yet a large number were apparently saved, as they are available in Mint State grades below MS65 (Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth, 2006). Lustrous surfaces of this Select example display adequately struck devices for the issue, and are lightly marked. Free of the copper-spots that typically plague this date.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FR, PCGS# 9163, Greysheet# 10170)
