Description

1909-S Indian Head Cent, MS64 Red
Final-Year Branch Mint Key

1909-S 1C MS64 Red PCGS. CAC. The final-year issue in the Indian Head series and only the second one produced at the San Francisco Mint is elusive in Mint State with original Red surfaces. The ribbon diamonds and shield are fully defined, but the feathertips are soft. Fiery copper-orange color melds with coruscating mint frost. One tick occurs on the cheek with carbon in the obverse fields.
