High Quality for the Grade

1847 $5 MS63 PCGS. The 1847 is among the few No Motto Liberty half eagles that are available for type collections in Mint State. This Select example is conditionally scarce but still accessible. Bright yellow-gold luster shimmers on each side, revealing few abrasions. Mild strike softness on the hair curls around Liberty's face joins similar incompleteness on the eagle's neck, where a mint-made planchet depression is also present. Population: 26 in 63 (3 in 63+), 6 finer (4/19).(Registry values: P5)
