Description

Finest Cameo proof 1915 Barber Quarter

1915 25C PR66 Cameo PCGS. The 1915 is the penultimate date in the Barber Quarter series. It also has the lowest mintage of all the proofs with only 450 pieces struck. Generally available in PR60-65 grades, the 1915 is very seldom located in better-than-Gem grades. Splendid peripheral toning in turquoise and russet shades allows full appreciation of the contrast between fields and devices. A couple of inconsequential toning spots are mentioned on the obverse, but these hardly detract. Presently, this is the finest cameo proof 1915 Quarter certified at PCGS (1/05).
