Elusive in This Grade
1862 10C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Seated dimes of 1862, from a
mintage exceeding 800,000 pieces, are a common date through MS62.
Even Select through Gem examples can be located with diligent
searching. Premium Gems such as the present offering are elusive,

a mere three pieces in higher grade. Light gray patina runs over
the lustrous surfaces that have been well cared for, and the design
elements are well-struck. Population: 15 in 66 (2 in 66+), 2 finer
