Low-Mintage Philadelphia Condition Rarity

1874 $5 AU58 PCGS. Hints of field reflectivity complement satiny luster on the devices, with rich orange-gold color throughout each side. scattered abrasions accompany a touch of wear, although much of this coin's appearance is not dissimilar to that of low-end Uncirculated coins. The 1874 half eagle comes from a scant mintage of only 3,488 coins and is a rarity in near-Mint condition, with few Mint State coins known finer. Population: 9 in 58, 10 finer (3/25).(Registry values: P3)
