Mintage of 3,090 Pieces
1867 $10 AU55 NGC. The mintage of the 1867 eagle was
uncommonly low at 3,090 business strikes, and today most graded
survivors average XF45 to AU50. This Choice AU piece exhibits a
fairly sharp strike, save for, curiously D STA on the reverse, and
scattered minor marks on golden-yellow surfaces with some brownish
accents. Census: 17 in 55 (1 in 55+ ★ ), 12 finer
