Description

1914-S Indian Half Eagle, MS63
Prime Condition Rarity at This Grade

1914-S $5 MS63 PCGS. CAC. Satiny honey-gold surfaces show lilac accents throughout the smooth, raised fields while soft mint luster glows from the recessed design elements. Well-produced for a 1914-S, only a some minor blending of the lower headdress feathers is of note. Marks are limited to a few tiny ticks searched out with a loupe. Scarce in all Mint State grades, the 1914-S is very scarce in Select Uncirculated condition and rare any finer. Population: 52 in 63, 9 finer. CAC: 12 in 63, 4 finer (1/18).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DW, PCGS# 8529, Greysheet# 9329)
