Description

1919-D Quarter Dollar, MS66
Beautifully Pristine

1919-D 25C MS66 PCGS. None can argue with the grade awarded this piece. Golden-warmed surfaces shimmer with satiny, unabraded luster, revealing not a single noteworthy abrasion. Eye appeal is thus outstanding for a non-Full Head coin. And this is a non-Full Head piece, showing the expected softness on the Liberty's head, the shield, some areas of the reed-and-bead around the border, and the leading edge of the eagle's left (facing) wing. The 1919-D is one of the most elusive Denver issues in the series with Full Head detail, making such coins too costly for most collectors. This piece's non-Full Head status is an asset in making such a beautifully preserved coin accessible. Population: 44 in 66 (8 in 66+), 2 finer (11/24).(Registry values: N2998)
