Description

1938-D 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. A remarkable example that actually seems high-end for the Premium Gem grade level. The strike definition is unusually sharp for the type, with good separation of the thumb on Liberty's branch hand. Lustrous and well-preserved, with shimmering silvery-gray surfaces and a faint grease streak on the reverse, on the eagle's right (facing) wing, that is slight enough to overlook.(Registry values: N1793)
