1902 Indian Cent, PR67 Red Cameo
Tied for Finest Certified
1902 1C PR67 Red Cameo PCGS. CAC. A nominal mintage of 2,018
proof Indian cents was accomplished in 1902 and this coin is one of
the finest survivors, in terms of both technical quality and eye
appeal. Both sides of this extraordinary Superb Gem display
beautiful yellow-gold color imbued with subtle hints of light
green. A solid strike imparts sharp definition to the design
elements save for minor softness on a couple of the feather tips.
The frosty devices contrast boldly with the deeply mirrored fields
to create a dramatic cameo effect. Both sides are wonderfully
preserved. Tied with one other coin for finest certified at either
grading service, this piece is a Registry Set essential.
