Description

1886 Nickel, MS64
Satiny Key Date Representative

1886 5C MS64 PCGS. CAC. Strongly defined on the portrait, if slightly softly struck on the stars and the lower areas of the wreath. The luster is pleasing, and splashes of peach toning visit otherwise nickel-white surfaces. While the 1886 nickel is not quite as sought-after as its counterpart from the year before, it is nonetheless a challenging key date, particularly in Mint State.
