Description
1901 Liberty Nickel, Frosty MS65 CAC
Delicate Pastel Color
1901 5C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Lovely ice-blue and champagne-gold
hues adorn frosty, pristine luster on this Gem example. The surface
quality is remarkable for the grade, giving this piece eye appeal
well beyond expectations for the MS65 level. Save for localized
weakness on select border stars, which is typical of the date, the
strike is sharp. As far as type coins go for the Liberty nickel
series, the 1901 is an outstanding choice, representing the dawn of
the 20th century era and boasting a substantial mintage exceeding
26 million coins. Housed in a Generation 3.0 green label
holder.(Registry values: N991)From The Bruce S. Sherman Collection, Part I.
