A Remarkably Attractive Example
1807 50C Large Stars, 50 Over 20 AU50 PCGS. CAC. O-112, R.1.
This popular blundered denomination variety rates its own listing
in the Guide Book, appearing on page 194 of the 2014
edition. This example seems quite lustrous for the grade, with
substantial remnants of original mint luster evident especially
near the peripheral design motifs. Both sides seem free of
post-strike abrasions, also unusual for a coin graded at AU50.
