Description

1912-S Ten Dollar, MS64+
Rarely Encountered Finer

1912-S $10 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. The 1912-S is a better date in Uncirculated condition, and most such pieces grade MS63 or lower. At the Choice level, this issue is scarce, and finer examples are rare. The present Plus-graded, CAC-endorsed near-Gem balances on the threshold between affordability and superior quality. A few stray grazes prevent the Gem designation, but the preservation is far finer than is typical for the MS64 level. The strike is sharp, and the satiny yellow-gold surfaces offer pleasant luster. This is a coin that will fit in well with a Gem-quality collection. Population: 77 in 64 (23 in 64+), 14 finer. CAC: 24 in 64, 3 finer (6/16).
