Description

1903-S Five Dollar, MS66
Vibrantly Colored CAC Example

1903-S $5 MS66 PCGS. CAC. The 1903-S Liberty half eagle is a popular type coin and easily accessible up to Gem levels, although finer pieces become more challenging. The strike on this example is bold and overall it shows outstanding preservation and only incidental signs of contact. Luminous luster on olive-gold surfaces is boldly accented with hues of orange and lilac yielding a remarkable cartwheel effect. Scarce in this grade, this beautiful Premium Gem has only five numerically finer pieces at PCGS (7/25) and is also endorsed by CAC.(Registry values: N2998)
