Description

1918/7-D 5C FS-101 Fine 12 PCGS. One of the few major die varieties for the series, this Buffalo nickel clearly shows the 8 over a 7 -- the result of a hubbing error. Actually, the entire 1918 date is cut over 1917. It was many years before an astute collector plucked this well-worn piece out of circulation. Each side is olive-gray with good remaining detail.
