Struck 60% Off Center
1919-? 5C Buffalo Nickel -- Struck 60% Off Center -- MS64
NGC. An important mint error on a popular obsolete design.
Struck dramatically off center toward 2 o'clock. The date is
present, as is the bison's head, but the mintmark area is not. The
strike is sharp on intact design elements. The well-preserved
surfaces display stone-gray and almond-gold toning.Ex: Milton Cohen error reference, page 5, #23.
