Description

1902-O Morgan Dollar, MS67
Unusually Lustrous and Well-Struck

1902-O $1 MS67 NGC. Wonderful powder-gray surfaces are especially prominent on the reverse, with just a hint of yellow, russet and sage toning, where these hues cover the whole left half of the obverse. Examples of this die marriage were emitted en masse by both circulation around the time of issue and by bag releases in the 1950s and during the Treasury sales of 1962-4. However, most exhibit weak strikes and have limited luster, fates this example escapes. Also, few finer examples exist. Census: 66 in 67 (6 in 67+, 1 in 67 ), 0 finer (12/25).(Registry values: P1, N4719)
