Description

1828 O-112 Half Dollar, MS65
Square Base 2, Small 8, Large Letters

1828 50C Square Base 2, Small 8, Large Letters MS65 PCGS. O-112, R.3. When this specimen was offered a decade ago, it was described as possibly the finest known, and nothing has changed since that time. It is two points finer than the best of the Overton census, and the finest listed in Stephen Herrman's record. Both sides have satin luster beneath gray-gold and iridescent toning with bold design features.
