Description
Respectable 1916-D Dime, AU Details
1916-D 10C --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. AU Details. Semi-bright, lightly toned surfaces reveal fine hairlines under magnification, yet retain decent luster. A solid strike leaves excellent detail on all of the design elements, including the middle bands that are almost completely separated. What appears to be a slight planchet defect is noted under the chin. The collector seeking a high-grade 1916-D should not be dissuaded by the light cleaning.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23GY, PCGS# 4906, Greysheet# 4523)
