1997-W G$5 Jackie Robinson Gold Five Dollar MS69 PCGS. The
Mint State Jackie Robinson five dollar gold commemorative is among
the keys to a modern commemorative set, one that completely
surprised the many collectors of the time who failed to order an
example after a long string of relatively high-mintage issues whose
aftermarket prices failed to appreciate. Only 5,174 pieces of the
Robinson were issued. This near-immaculate piece is surpassed by
only 44 examples in MS70 at PCGS (and for this one, we need not
