A Sharply Defined Example

1801 $1 --Improperly Cleaned--NGC Details. AU. B-1, BB-211, R.3. This issue is elusive in higher grades, with the typical example falling in the Fine to VF grade range. Although cleaned, the present specimen is still attractive with wisps of mustard-yellow toning over its light gray surfaces. Splashes of steel-blue visit the obverse.(Registry values: N2998)
