Description
1872 Cent, MS65 Red and Brown
Attractive Semikey Example
1872 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. Bold N in ONE. A relatively
low mintage of 4 million coins makes the 1872 Indian Head cent a
series semikey. This Gem Red and Brown example has a sizeable die
break from 8:30 to 10 o'clock on the reverse. Golden-brown
woodgrain toning frames lavender-gold interiors on the obverse.
Steel-blue and olive patina colors the central area of the other
side. Strongly impressed on the feather tips and diamonds. There
are seven Red and Brown submissions finer at PCGS (11/15).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 227W, PCGS# 2104, Greysheet# 1324)
