1881-O $10 AU55 NGC. The only known variety. With a small production of 8,350 pieces, the 1881-O ten dollar is a desirable issue in all levels of preservation. Mint State coins are very rare, with fewer than 20 examples reported by the two services, none finer than MS63. Apricot-gold color adorns this Choice AU specimen that displays luster in the protected areas. Well-struck design elements and minimal marks round out the coin's pleasing eye appeal.
