Description

1885-S $10 MS63 PCGS. The moderate production of 228,000 S-Mint eagles in 1885 was sufficient that lower level Mint State pieces are available to collectors. However, Select Mint State pieces such as this one are elusive, and finer coins are nearly extinct. PCGS has only certified five numerically finer examples (6/16). Both sides of this lovely piece exhibit trivial, grade-consistent marks. Orange highlights accent the frosty yellow luster.(Registry values: N2998)
