Australian Gold Nugget. With Perth Mint certificate of authenticity listing the weight at 1.5 troy ounces. This partly water-smoothed nugget cradles as single quartz crystal in one of its crannies. In the great "gold rush" eras of Australian history, most nuggets were melted down to make ingots and coins, and so examples of this size are uncommon today.Auction Info
