Small Gold Nugget, 24.9 Grams
Gold Nugget 24.9 grams. At first we thought this was an alluvial nugget, but it appears the high points have simply been rubbed over the years. This gives it a smoother appearance than most nuggets taken from the earth. Close examination reveals the rougher, almost crystalline texture on the interior of the nugget, areas unaffected by friction from rubbing. The nugget has a slight brownish cast, indicating a higher copper content. Most likely not from Australia.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 7HV6, PCGS# 661000)
