(1800) Washington Funeral Urn Medal in Silver, VF35
Baker-166A, Fuld 3-D, Musante GW-70D

(1800) MEDAL Washington Funeral Urn, Silver VF35 NGC. Baker-166A, Fuld 3-D, Musante GW-70D. 29 mm. Plain edge. Holed as issued by Jacob Perkins, the Newburyport die sinker also responsible for the 1792 Washington PRESIDENT pieces. These pieces were worn by attendees of Washington's funeral procession in Boston on February 22, 1800. This example is well-detailed on the portrait, and all legends remain strong. Pewter-gray patina is a shade deeper on the reverse.
