1796 C-2, B-2 Half Cent, VG Details
Important Key-Date Half Cent
1796 1/2 C With Pole, C-2, B-2, High R.4 -- Corrosion -- NGC
Details. VG. Although the actual mintage of 1796-dated half
cents is uncertain, the total was undoubtedly small. Only a little
more than 100 examples survive today in all grades. William Eckberg
suggests 110 examples of this variety exist, along with about 30
examples of the C-1, B-1 No Pole variety. This steel-brown example
has light corrosion evenly distributed across both sides with faint
