Description

Elusive 1912-S Cent, MS65 Red

1912-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. Unlike other early Lincoln cents, the 1912-S was not saved in any appreciable numbers. Thus, in spite of a mintage of 4.4 million pieces it is an important semi-key. Original red Gems are especially elusive. This is a lovely coin that shows rich red color. Fully struck. The only mentionable carbon are a few flecks on the upper reverse. Population: 41 in 65, 0 finer (12/07).(Registry values: N2998)
