Description
1929-S Lincoln Cent, MS67 Red
The Finest PCGS Coin Ever at Auction
1929-S 1C MS67 Red PCGS. Ex: Whispering Pines. The Condition
Census of 1929-S Lincolns in Red grades consists of two MS67 Red
coins at PCGS and four others at NGC, although some duplication is
possible in these figures. We have not previously seen one of the
PCGS coins, and the last NGC coin we handled in this grade was in
2016. Another well-known PCGS Registry Set, the D.L. Hansen
Collection, has 1929-S in MS66 red. Such is the rarity of this date
in MS67 Red. The Whispering Pines coin is a monumental offering for
the advanced collector. It is coins like this that elevate a
Registry Set to the highest level, as with Whispering Pines.A bold strike spans luminous copper-red mint luster with satiny surfaces and no distracting spots or abrasions. We have never seen such an attractive and high-end 1929-S. Population: 2 in 67 Red, 0 finer (11/24).(Registry values: N991)
From The Whispering Pines Collection.
