B-2, Restrike

1849 1/2 C Restrike PR63 Brown PCGS. B-2, Low R.6. Small date, small berries, doubled T in CENT. This is a pleasing example with deep brown color and iridescent toning over reflective fields. Traces of original red are still present on the reverse. Half cents coined in 1849 were struck with Small and Large Dates, but the Small Date coins were only struck in proof format. Housed in an old green label holder. Our EAC grade PR60.
