Description

1871-CC Dime, VG8
Excellent Collector-Grade Example

1871-CC 10C F-101, R.4, VG8 NGC. Rare across the entire grading scale, the 1871-CC had a mintage of just 20,100 pieces, and the Carson City date is seldom available without problems such as damage or corrosion. This is a stout VG example, with finely granular, richly toned surfaces and clearly defined motifs. The upper obverse is a bit weakly struck as always for the issue, but hardly noticed on this well-worn piece. It is destined to fill a long-standing hole in some collector's circulated set.
