Description
1909-S Half Eagle, MS64+
CAC-Endorsed
1909-S $5 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. This sharply detailed Indian half
eagle is an exceptional Choice Mint State representative of the
low-mintage 1909-S issue that had a production of only 297,200
coins, ranking 11th of the 24 issues. The Certified Acceptance
Corporation was happy to approve this beautiful example that
features impressive light blue-green toning on its rose-gold
surfaces that exhibit a high degree of frosty mint luster. The
surfaces have minimal, inconsequential marks. Although below the
Gem level, this outstanding 1909-S half eagle will make a nice
addition to an advanced cabinet of Indian gold coins. Population:
20 in 64 (6 in 64+), 6 finer (11/24).Ex: Stack's Bowers (3/2020), lot 3233.(Registry values: N7079)
