1879 $1 Dollar, Judd-1606, Pollock-1802, Low R.7, PR64 Brown PCGS. The obverse portrait is a modified Washlady design with Coiled Head influences. Liberty's hair is tightly coiled with a ribbon at the back, and she wears a band in her hair with incused LIBERTY. The reverse shows an eagle on a perch surrounded by a wreath and irregularly spaced and misaligned statutory legends. The eagle holds an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. A fully struck chocolate-brown near-Gem with smooth surfaces aside from a single thin mark in front of the lips.
