Description
1813 BD-1 Half Eagle, Unc Details
Collectible Early Gold Type Coin
1813 $5 BD-1, R.2 -- Mount Removed -- NGC Details. Unc.
Bass-Dannreuther Die State b/b. Die clashing exists at RT of
LIBERTY and within the eagle's shield. This is the most-available
date of the large diameter type, although all Capped Head to Left
half eagles are scarce-to-rare. Original mint luster glows
throughout the obverse, while the reverse is also sharp and
lustrous despite removal of an old mount, visible on the reverse by
some discoloration but no significant damage.
Note for clients in the European Union: This lot is considered by the European Union to be “investment gold”. We believe that it meets the criteria established in Article 344(1), point (2) of Council Directive 2006/112/EC and thus should be exempt from import VAT regardless of the selling price. Any questions or concerns about VAT should be addressed to your accountant or local tax authority.
