1813 BD-1 Half Eagle, Unc Details
Collectible Early Gold Type Coin

1813 $5 BD-1, R.2 -- Mount Removed -- NGC Details. Unc. Bass-Dannreuther Die State b/b. Die clashing exists at RT of LIBERTY and within the eagle's shield. This is the most-available date of the large diameter type, although all Capped Head to Left half eagles are scarce-to-rare. Original mint luster glows throughout the obverse, while the reverse is also sharp and lustrous despite removal of an old mount, visible on the reverse by some discoloration but no significant damage.
