1938-D Boone Half Dollar, MS68
A Major Condition Rarity
1938-D 50C Boone MS68 PCGS. Ex: Heller. Tinges of amber,
russet, and golden toning around the outer borders frame faint
iridescent interiors. The 1938-D issue in the Boone half dollar set
comes from a distribution of only 2,100 pieces and is a major
rarity in the lofty MS68 grade. PCGS and NGC combined report only
12 pieces at this numeric level, with a handful of three pieces
finer in MS69 (11/23). For advanced Registry collectors, this coin
has significant appeal. Population: 8 in 68 (2 in 68+), 1 finer
