1899 $5 MS67+ PCGS. CAC. A high mintage of more than 1.7 million pieces makes the 1899 an ideal type coin for many collectors. The surfaces are incredibly well-preserved and frosty -- with glittering, light-orange surfaces and pinpoint striking details. Luminous surfaces reveal only one or two tiny marks under magnification, wholly insignificant even at this high grade. Population: 5 in 67 (1 in 67+), 1 finer. CAC: 2 in 67, 1 finer (11/24).
