Description

1848 $5 MS60 ANACS. Uncirculated 1848 half eagles are scarce in any numeric grade. This ANACS coin displays sharp detail and satiny straw-gold surfaces. Surprisingly, we find no singular abrasions on the coin, only faint lines in the fields. A retained cud is seen near stars 1 and 2, with several other die cracks around the periphery.(Registry values: P5)
