Description

1879-CC Silver Dollar, MS62
Normal Mintmark
GSA Holder

1879-CC $1 MS62 NGC. When the General Services Administration offered Carson City Morgan dollars in the 1970s, there were nearly 3 million coins marketed by that organization. Included were 4,100 examples of the 1879-CC, seemingly a substantial number of coins until one considers that more than 960,000 examples of the 1884-CC were marketed.

This Normal Mintmark 1879-CC Morgan dollar has satiny silver luster with brilliant surfaces and a splash of gold toning on the reverse. Trivial marks are present on the obverse while the reverse is markedly finer.
