Description
1924-D Double Eagle, MS62
Elusive Denver Mint Coin
1924-D $20 MS62 PCGS. While the 1924 serves as one of the
most plentiful issues in the series, the 1924-D is elusive in all
grades with only 1,200 or so survivors. That is despite a mintage
in excess of 3 million coins. This MS62 offering showcases satiny
mint luster over light yellow-gold surfaces. Myriad small ticks on
each side likely prevent a higher grade. From The Ed Leigh McMillan Collection. (Registry values: N2998)
Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26G8, PCGS# 9178, Greysheet# 10178)
Weight: 33.44 grams
