1944 Half Dollar, MS67+
Practically Uncollectible Any Finer
1944 50C MS67+ NGC. The 1944 Walking Liberty half dollar
enjoys type coin status because of its high-grade availability and
its mintage of 28.2 million pieces. These coins are collectible up
to MS67 condition, but NGC has awarded a Plus designation to just
two Superb Gems, and it has certified only two submissions finer
(3/18). This strongly struck representative is brilliant and softly
frosted. Magnification yields a few tiny ticks on the drapery and a
