Description

Five-Piece 1940 Proof Set PR65 to PR67 PCGS. The coins are individually certified in holders with consecutive certification numbers. The set includes:

Cent PR65 Red. The reverse is peach-gold while the obverse is orange-red with moderate toning above LIBERTY.

Nickel PR66. CAC.
Intricately struck. Perfect aside from flecks near the 0 in the date and the U in TRUST.

Dime PR66. CAC. A flashy Premium Gem. Delicate lilac patina graces sharply struck and unblemished surfaces.

Quarter PR66. CAC. A lustrous and lovely specimen. Pastel tan toning emerges beneath a loupe. A few pinpoint flecks near DOLLAR.

Half dollar PR67.
A well struck example with light lilac and tan toning. The monogram was hand-engraved on the die, usual for the proof issue.
