Description

Scarce MS62 1906 Liberty Twenty

1906 $20 MS62 PCGS. CAC. Perhaps due to a continued backlog from the 6.25 million double eagles struck at Philadelphia in 1904, mintages at the mother mint were only a tiny fraction of that production in 1905 and 1906. Uncirculated 1906 twenties are consequently scarce and rarely seen above MS63. The present butter-gold MS62 example has unencumbered luster and a well-preserved reverse.(Registry values: N1793)
